The sound of silence... yes I've been silent for almost one week, all because of radical changes that are about to happen in my [private] life. Hopefully the coming changes will allow me even greater motivation, in order to make this website and my projects more solid and competitive.
I am going to make a secret of these changes for some days more, but then they will be pretty obvious.
Now, on a more technical note, one of my "about to start" projects - [that will start until of the of July] - is a JAVA search engine for this site, although of course it will be a flexible applet that can be used on any web. The tutorials on MS VC++ 6.0 and Open GL will also be updated until the end of the month.
Regular visitors will really have to be patient. Not so regular visitors will have to live with current method of accessing older news, which - I recon - is no longer the best option. Those of you who just visit this main page, are missing 99% of what the site has to offer... so please do spend some time following the older news' links.
...and this site will be offering more & more stuff, as time goes by. For example, following the cooperative documentary project [check the June 1999 updates], in response to some friendly e-mails, I will be opening a "visitor's contributions" section, where YOU can show your works, no matter the theme. Vasco Pinheiro, from Portugal will be one of the first contributors, with some goodies for LINUX, including [commented] source code.
A documentary on airplanes? [Fly to work!]
ARTE, world's finest broadcasting SAT TV, aired a documentary about a small american city, where people use private airplanes, just like average Joe uses cars! This means that these folks go to work on airplane, go shopping on wings and even have fun with jets!
Millionaires?! Yes, I think so, but for some it was really an option between living IN the big cities and paying the premium for such places, and living FAR from the metropolis, paying for airborne transportation... Many of these people don't have to worry with parking expenses for their flying things, because they work for companies such as CONTINENTAL AIRLINES and so on... you get the picture :)
