click on the pictures for their HQ version. Lisbon's main airport location and approach routes, are such that planes frequently cross the city's downtown. A night picture. A red semaphore near a kiosk, with publicity on the sides. YOPLAIT!, it says :) |
Views of Lisbon + upcoming renewal Here are some photographs of Lisbon, shot with my SONY digital camera [check about it on 19 July 1999]. I will try to publish such pictures more often, and feature more cities, such as the wonderful Santarém and Abrantes. If you are into digital photography, I am sure you will love the 25 August 1999 news. I will also redesign this website's page dedicated to Portugal, Abrantes and Lisbon, since it doesn't give you enough information. Santarém will get a whole for page for its own, as it is now an extremely important place for me. This redesign will give you access to pages about Portuguese rivers, mountains, oceanographic resources, popular resorts, beaches, schools, libraries and so on... of course this exponential growth of the current Portugal page will take time, and I expect it to require many work hours, with gradual updates. The whole process should be completed before Christmas. I am sure that December looks like too far away, but as you might know, or just find out by browsing :), I am deeply involved in loads of activities, most of them with some kind of feedback @ this very same website... Such activities do require loads of practice, meaning that my Internet presence is as strong as the 24 hours in a day allow. Some 5, 6 years ago the Internet was 1/6 of today's size, and net surfers sure were different people. I suppose that the majority of my visitors are "one time clients", who can find daily contents @ a zillion more places, and thus don't read all this stuff that comes out of my keyboard... I can understand that, but I can also advise that some of the Web's greatest sites, come from simple [but strong] efforts, like my own. Those efforts can prove that an individual can still be heard!, without advertising on TV, without having his penis cut, without killing his mates, without spending tons of money, and just by believing that some of you can really recognize what deserves to be rewarded with your regular visit. I hope the upcoming [end of September] renewal of my Portugal page to be another reason to bring you in @ ArturMarques.com. |
Minor corrections and Novelties @ the Trade Center
Some of the Trade Center pages had bad links. That is now fixed, and you can browse it all, without errors. Plus, there are more books for sale, as you've probably read above.
