Oasis!
It couldn't be more inclined... |
I am now playing Roller coaster Tycoon's [RCT] level 2 - Dynamite Dunes. As the name might suggest, the biggest problem here is making an optimal use of the available space. Having learned from the previous [debut] level - Forest Frontiers - that paying your debt to the bank isn't that much important, and knowing that it is of extreme relevance to build as much as you can in the first year, I think that I will complete the venture faster and in a more successful way, than I did with the previous park, which I did finish @ my first attempt, despite a negative park value. The key to the Dynamite Dunes, is the DIY: do it yourself. Do not buy pre-built roller coasters - build your own! And build them simple, in order to spare some money. Check the huge coaster you get, by default: it dives deep INTO the mountain, and in order to make it more profitable, you must attract visitors towards its entrance point, which is kind of remote... I leave you with pictures of my oasis... a great spot of fun! The first picture shows you two structures, sharing the same area. On the perimeter, there is a Roller coaster; on the inside, there is water something :), and it is gathering the preferences of many visitors... could that be because of the surrounding desert? The second picture is a detail of one of the Roller coaster's slopes. There are limits to the inclination, and I simply couldn't get it more dangerous. People love it! When I finish RCT's 2nd venture, I will make my theme park available for download. It is easy to build it in such a fashion, that it becomes self-providing. If your hire enough handymen, security and entertainers, show them the path where to clean / watch / perform, then this self-running state will really be solid enough, for you to go to be and wake up the next day, with a rich park... |

There are dark clouds on the horizon... It is not getting colder, but there is less light, every day. Winter is approaching. Christmas is almost palpable, although not as joyful, as it once was. It is a shame the loss of magic, that happens, as you age! I do try hard not to lose the magic, to get enchanted by fantasy culture [movies, books, games...], and I still believe in most people. But there isn't much hope for many of us. Watch your street. Check the contrasts. Check people driving expensive cars, and people sleeping against walls, wearing nothing but a dirty jacket and an empty stomach. And check the competitiveness. No one is willing to help. Everyone on his own track, towards exactly the same destiny, yet building a darker and harder future for the upcoming generations. As REM still sing: is this the end of the world [as we know it]? |
