The JAVA applets here seen, are the ones @ the top of the main page. Can't you see them? Read what's on your right...
GTA2! It is better than the original! |
I fixed a small bug with the "most popular URLs" JAVA applet [check above]: the bug caused your browser to download the incorrect file, if your selection was an update after 21 September 1999. Sorry about that. And thanks to Lovecraft for reporting this one! Keep sending me your bug reports and contributions! PLEASE! I do try to listen and change the website, according to your likes. If your browser still does not download my navigational applets, consider changing browser! Notice that JAVA is 100% uniform across all platforms that support it. JAVASCRIPT, for example, has many dialects, depending on the browser, and it is somewhat probable that web developers using one of those dialects, are in fact delivering pages that don't display correctly in some conditions. JAVA is supposed to defeat such problems and that is why I am using it, instead of plug-in technologies and scripting languages. I will soon be doing a web survey, asking you if you agree with this rather conservative approach, or if you would prefer a more radical, less compatible design. Still, if after ~30 seconds your browser does not display the applets pictured on your left, please send me your details (Operating System, browser and browser version). GTA2 will be big news, next week! I just installed it, and what a great big fun it is! DMA did it again! GTA2 has got to be the most addictive game of 1999, at least until now... It is also a superb confirmation, that alleviated me from the traumatic stress imposed by some disgusting software, reviewed days 10 November 1999 and 13 November 1999. Again, stay tuned for the whole week! |
