Today [23:59]: #1) VR BETA document style revision #2) Site News #3) The on-line community

Virtual Reality document style revised

The style of the VR BETA document has been updated. It is now coherent with my new DHTML style. So go read about Multi User Environments [still, only available in portuguese]

Site News

- Since last update, I've fixed no more than 43 broken internal links! This is huge! When you think that your website is finally running stable, you get that kind of surprises.

- Last week's news are now old news; this means that the last few days have been organized in their own pages.

- Episode #52 of the brilliant TV series Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, will go OFF-LINE in the next few hours. This is the famous Earshot episode that was NOT aired in the USA, because of some recent school violent acts, committed by students. So, this might be your LAST chance to download it from a 2 x T3 website :-) Check day 10 June 1999 for the links and more BtVS stuff

- BtVS episode providers, be warned: there will be a call for some new files this weekend :-). Stay tuned.

- Results for the Half-Life finale query, that was up & running since 03 June 1999: most people [an average of 7 out of 10 answers] submitted that the HL finale is "GREAT"; for the rest of the bunch, it is "the best they've ever seen"... and there was a strange "bad" answer. The number of participants [21] was very low, when compared to the Martina Hingis vs Stefi Graff pool [also posted 03 June 1999], and that is even more significant, when you consider that the tennis question had to be answered in less than 48 hours. This drives me to the conclusion that not so many people completed HL :-)

- This weekend there will be a new questionnaire... a very interesting one...

The on-line community

click on the picture for a full quality version of it.

I promised this one, more than a month ago... when I told you about an Internet documentary produced by the french-german TV station ARTE.

That documentary tells you about the Net' life of some influential people, and also about the on-line attitudes of very ordinary people, like you and me.

It is a great documentary, where you really start to see things in a whole different way. It makes you want to go on-line! :-)

Today, and for the next 10 updates, I will be posting pictures of some web masters, who participated in the show, showing them working wherever they usually work.

I would like YOU to send me a picture of YOURSELF, working in your own environment, while updating your website!. I think this is a very interesting project, since it slightly breaks the distance between us all.

Please, do not forget your website's URL, so I can link to it.

To start with, go visit www.sccs.swarthmore.edu/~denise and learn who is the beautiful Denise...

Comments on the featured websites will follow, very soon [tomorrow?].
