Today [23:59]: #1) Debut of the Visual C++ 6.0 tutorial #2) Time is not enough! #3) A scandalous site! #4) Fast News

Time is not enough

Today I was supposed to debut the VIDEO section, the TUTORIALS section, the 1st lesson of the OpenGL tutorial, the 1st lesson of the Visual C++ tutorial, and some sexy stuff. But time is never enough...

Still, I think I've accomplished A LOT in the few hours, that I was allowed to spend @ the computer. I've designed a WHOLE NEW WEBSITE and I did manage to debut the first Visual C++ 6.0 lesson, although I didn't organize it in the long promisedTUTORIALS department, yet... I think that that will be possible tomorrow, or wednesday, the latest.

I am kind of tired, so I will jump over the big speech, and just say that the hardest work of the day was on this scandalous site :-)

A scandalous site

Yes, for the first time in my life, I was asked to design a X oriented web. It is called SMG NUDE!, which stands for Sarah Michelle Gellar NUDE! That site will be exploited by Pappapump, a friend of mine, from the USA. It was a nice deal for both parts... SMG NUDE! was kind of a challenge, because I had to do things that I had never done before, such as password protecting the contents of some remote folders, and using a simple CGI PERL script to handle the server side actions of some forms.

SMG NUDE! is a must for all the SMG fans. The site offers many pictures and videos, and it only gets nasty on the XXX section, but you don't have to worry about unwanted shocking pictures, because that section has severe access restrictions. Pappapump is now in charge of the website, and he will decide the user permissions to visit the provocative contents.

Go visit the SMG NUDE! website (notice that there is a picture link for it in the contents frame at your left).

FAST NEWS

As you've probably noticed, this site is always changing! I am now hosting 3 webs (APAA, APR and SMG), but that number will increase until the end of the week! Carla's Autographs is coming in with spectacular new stuff... and the long promisedAUDIO magazine will debut at its own URL, very soon now.

I try hard to use new technologies, and it is almost assured that there will be some browser independent DHTML (Dynamic HTML), by the end of the week... But the one thing I cannot ever forget is that ArturMarques.com is content oriented, and not looks oriented, meaning that speed and ease of navigation will always be at the top of my priorities.

This doesn't mean that my web looks bad. I think it looks good :-) And today there were some minor tweaks. More to come!

What else is guaranteed for this week?

- debut of the OpenGL tutorial.

- videos and tutorials get their own section.

- daily query forms for user feedback!

- reviews of Midtown Madness and TOCA 2 at APR!
