What changed in one year?
PC evolution - in one year, I made 2 hardware evolutions. From P2 @ 333 to P3B @ 600. From 20 GB HD to 120 GB HD. Mass storage is doubling each 5 months, which is a cycle shorter than expected.
My FIAT rests. After 64110 kms, I decided I would start driving another car, than my lovely FIAT UNO 60SX, which gave me ZERO PROBLEMS in 10 years! The reason I had to park it, was because of gasoline's price. I am now running on Diesel.
If you take your time to visit the 06 March 1999 update, you'll notice that this website is now 1 YEAR OLD.
The age itself is absolutely irrelevant. What is relevant, is the effort that lives behind each page you can visit @ my web. The site might not seem much, and it certainly is nothing special, on a technical point of view [POV] and even on a contents' POV.
However, overall, I believe this site is really special. It is the work of myself alone, paying for a domain, paying for fast served web space, requiring precious time I could use doing something else, probably much more rewarding to my short term needs, like studying more, or anticipating the delivery of some project, or spending quality moments with interesting people...
But NO. I made the option of doing sacrifices, for the benefit of this website. WHY? Well, there is a very personal answer to that, and it has to do with my firm believe that an individual still can make a difference. Not that my website is strong on individual opinions, but the simple fact of me having the chance to write about stuff I think it is important or enjoyable, makes it worth!
In many countries, people still can't think for their heads. There are many places where you must follow "an official line of thought", that blinds you, and blends you in all the other sheep. No black sheeps allowed. I am not just writing about countries where you can find deplorable political ideologies, but also about some aspects of modern democracies, where you are wanted literally brainwashed!
The Internet gives you a voice. SPEAK OUT! You can make a difference! Years ago, even the world's most developed nations had no means of allowing you to mass express yourself. Now, you have the Internet. Unfortunately, because the Net is growing more and more banal, in the future, people won't be able to recognize the extreme relevance of the freedom you are given!
I hope I am being too negativist.

I am older and uglier than ever. Time does not forgive. Each year represents 365(6) extra days weighting on your spine. Each year costs you brain cells. Each year tends to be exactly like the year before, unless you fight it!
TIME is the only precious thing. You can have all the money, all the girls, all the games, but you have a VERY FINITE amount of time to live it all.
TIME is the sole thing that matters.
