Boekhorst rocketed x meters high @ Bercy, and he did land OK!
Come on - go dare yourself! Don't you have the ability? [...] You're right! Better play it on the PC :)
And the winner is / was D. Latimer, from the USA!
Rrrr Argh! Rough! She screams like that... This girl, under my command, blasted too many bots on Q3A, last night :) Notice the 46 Excellents and the 12 Impressives! |
Roller
Skating @ France
Roller Skating [RS] is as old as 1763, with skates looking like today's being patented just one century later. The USA is the country where Roller Skating does grow massive, capable of regularly gathering crowds, but France doesn't lag beyind. You can go RS just for fun, soft & easy, or you can go the radical way, daring to crack all your bones, doing useless stuff, like jumping over ramps and gliding down tubes. And you can even earn some money, if you are dead good. Take a look at these pictures, taken @ Bercy, under the same roof where you usually can watch indoor motocross, indoor kart and even indoor windsurf! The overall winner was D. Latimer, the dude with the white t-shirt, but most of the pictures refer to S. Boekhorst, from Holland (red t-shirt), who scored second place, but could have won it, if it was not for a terrible succession of misfortunes, after a superb start. K. Gillan (not shown) closed the top three, and surely was king of the disappointed, due to his chaotic final presentation, where he simply didn't manage to do nothing perfect. Bad day. So, drink yourself 100 liters of calcium rich milk, spend a fortune on protective gear, and go dare yourself do the same, knowing a priori, that you'll probably break a leg. That is good fortune :) Kicking Bots' ass @ Quake 3 Arena I was in need of some virtual destruction the other night, so I dressed my combat suit :) and dived into the arena. I decided to start from zero (Q3DM1) and build a soldier from the ground. So I did. As I expressed on previous occasions, Q3A has some "justice" / learning curve problems. For example, you adversary on the very first level, is the hardest you'll face for some 10 matches! Irritating. I had a hard time defeating this first obstacle, but after that, in less than 30 minutes, I was dealing with the big boys, of which I mostly recall Klesk, the devil, for his great body :-O Klesk was soon showing me hell, and there was a time, because of his speed and accuracy, that I indeed suspected that the situation would require hours... However, all of a sudden, I understood that my adversary was not too keen on close fights, so I adopted the tactics of always move towards him, when firing. Piece of cake. Angel, TankJr and Wrack are my current toys. I won all the matches I did against them, on my first attempt, so I must insist that the learning curve of ID's latest, could really be bettered... and it hasn't been, as I am using the 1.16n patch. Go ahead and download Quake 3 Arena 1.16n final [8066 KB - self installing patch for the commercial version] If you prefer Unreal Tournament (and for the best bots, you should...), be informed that there is also a new patch for it (version 4.13), measuring 5692 KB. Look for it on this URL: http://www.unrealtournament.com. Winamp 2.62 [2061 KB] 3DFX Voodoo 3000 drivers (Windows 9x) [6815 KB] Antil Viral Toolkit Pro (updated TODAY) [1905 KB] CDRWin 3.8a [578 KB] |
Unfortunately (for him), Boekhorst would hit the floor hard, two times in a row, right after this snapshot.
Imagine the crash. Ouch!
D. Latimer gets spanked by his so called friends, after winning the French competition. Envy is a nasty feeling.
Highly unusual screen! I suppose you'll have a hard time achieving a similar screen!, on the 3rd difficulty level. |
