Macromedia Freehand - is an Adobe Illustrator challenger for years. Both products are now on their ninth version. Banda do Cidadão / Citizens Band - um conjunto de frequências, que podem ser usadas (autorizadas pelo ICP) para a comunicação entre cidadãos. A legislação mudou recentemente... PlanetDeusEx - provides better support than EIDO's official page, who doesn't even refer the March 2001 patch (1.109).
The Oriental Institute - If this doesn't look oriental to you, make sure you start attending the OI's regular virtual exhibits. |
General Weblog (from my February 2001 Net surfing) http://www.freehandsource.com - Site 100% dedicated to Macromedia's Freehand, a software that you can use for DTP, 2D graphics, and even web publishing (since version 9). http://www.papadoc.net - Slightly underground site, mostly dedicated to PC flying simulators. I started visiting it regularly, when I read its decent review about the good old 3DFX Voodoo 5500 vs NVIDIA GeForce 2 war. Basically, the Pink Flamingo took into account, the Glide acceleration and the higher stability of 3DFX's latest, to recommend the board that you can no longer buy. Sure that the V5500 has less hardware functions and won't probably deliver higher frame rates on Quake D3D games, but unless you are a developer in sync with NVIDIA's dev website, then you won't probably need those extra functions, and you'll surely benefit from the impressive Glide performance. http://www.forra.com - Site português totalmente dedicado à Banda do Cidadão (CB). O que é a CB? Que equipamento precisa de adquirir? Que custos estão envolvidos? Qual o (novo) enquadramento legal? Muitas respostas podem ser encontradas aqui, mas também ficam perguntas em aberto, devido ao silêncio governamental. http://www.airliners.net - One of the world's largest depot of aviation related pictures. You have airport photographs, night pictures, cargo planes, helicopters, government aircrafts, etc, etc... http://www.planetdeusex.com - This is a central resource for everything DeusEx related. DeusEx is one of the most impressive PC games, ever. Here, you'll find the FAQs, the modifications, the editing scene, and plenty of hosted sites. http://www.majesticdocuments.com - OR these documents are a complete farse, OR something quite abnormal is going on. This site collects (un)classified papers, including information related to the Roswell incident, already exploited to exhaustion in television, movies and literature. The awkward bit is that some docs look legit... Decide for yourself and download whatever you can, because these files come and go... Have you seen an UFO, today? :) http://www.zoo.cam.ac.uk - The Department of Zoology (UK / Cambridge) does research on matters ranging from Behavioral Ecology, to Neurobiology. What most interests me, is their investigation on insects' nervous systems, which are relatively simple to be understood, at least on a high level. Zoology has a strong computational side, because any nervous system can be seen as a complex network... http://www-oi.uchicago.edu/OI/default.html - The Oriental Institute (The University of Chicago), is a priceless resource of information on oriental subjects. They regularly run virtual exhibitions, and offer full electronic books! If you want periodical content, check their Journal of Near Eastern Studies (JNES). |
The Ping Flamingo - sometimes grills what the mainstream praises...
Airliners dot net - now consists of nearly 100K aircrafts...
"Evidence that we are NOT alone" - I don't know if what you'll find here is evidence, or not, but I do know that in the worst case scenery, someone had a LOT of work, forging papers...
Department of Zoology @ Cambridge / UK - There was a time, when computers and Biology didn't mix; nowadays, its hard to spot the boundaries. |
