1 - Mavica Exhibit #7 Debuts (foggy subject!)
|
Notice the Sun - striving to get noticed. I am glad it didn't, because conditions were hard enough...
You could barely spot the trees... - Of course that I should be looking elsewhere, but I have this fetish for misty pictures, so I simply couldn't give rest to the good old Sony Mavica. |
New Mavica Expo
There is a new Mavica exhibit, on the Mavica page. This new exhibit features eight (8) pictures, taken while driving under dense fog... and fog is their subject... Fog is just condensed water vapor, but it can get to such a thick mist, that it severely reduces visibility. Driving on fog conditions is quite dangerous - every country that keeps a record of its road accidents, probably lists some fog related collision, as the one causing the greatest wreck. The USA and Portugal, country neighbors with nothing but the Atlantic Ocean in-between :), both have a highway collision under low fog, as their #1 damaging road accident, accounting for the number of vehicles, the number of injured people and the number of fatalities. My seventh (7th) Mavica expo is a sequence of eight (8) shots, that show the slow dissipation of an early morning mist. You can visit the main Mavica page, or jump directly to today's exhibit #7. |
Slowly, the fog evaporated - giving room to a poorly disguised Lisbon smog. Lisbon is a lucky city, with tens of thousands of cars polluting it daily, yet their CO being wind transported elsewhere, thanks to the Ocean proximity.
But it was Sunday morning - and I didn't have to fight my way home. On a regular day, these roads look very much like battlefields, such is the average portuguese drive. |
