Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are the Pet Shop Boys (PSB). Despite being a UK band, their music was truly born from being adopted by the american dance music scene. Failure after failure, the PSB never quitted, always trying to give people something which would make them buy their records :).

This unashamed "lets make lots of money" motivation was so obvious, that they did a music with that exact same title! Yet, it took them some 5 years, before they got known outside a relatively strict circle and indeed started to sell copies enough to become world famous.

Any music site with decent biographies can tell you the tale of this duo, since early 1981, to the latest album; from when Tennant was a journalist for the "Smash Hits" magazine (UK), to the day the pair got a little apart. But I don't want to bio the PSB.

The day I die (and 25% of my life is already burned off), I am quite sure that I will remember the PSB songs: joyful (I would write "gay", but the word tends to be misinterpreted), complex, quite ambiguous, always relaxing OR energizing, and never something in-between. These are songs for children! These are songs that can't be listened by those bended to a robotic existence, craved to vulgar beliefs, bound to narrow views!

Let me share with you two minutes of PSB's glory. Track 14 of the discography album, and track 03 of "Very".

Track 14 of the discography is titled "being boring" and SHOULD NOT be listened for those of faint heart. Unless you've already been mechanized by your contextual surroundings, this song will WAKE YOU UP, and make your heart beat, like the day you first kissed someone you really could care for! This is a very emotional song, that forces you to fight yourself; it forces you to look at a feelings mirror and observe how much you have changed. You now feel less than you used to; you now act more because of "others", than really because of yourself; YOU ARE BORING.
But there was one day, when you didn't even know how to be boring. This is my favorite PSB song, ever!

Track 03 of the "Very" album should really put you on track to PSB's newest tendencies. This track can't really be understood in a single minute, but its mostly about faking, and thus there is a bridge to "being boring". Its more pop, it sells better.
