Little Fish (2005)
http://imdb.com/title/tt0382810/
Little Fish’s first minutes are promising: splendid photography, appropriate music and Cate Blanchett playing Tracy Heart – an ex-drug (ab)user, now wanting to run her own “Internet cafe” business, but having big trouble financing it.
Sam Neill is in, and the film endures for nearly two hours… somehow, all this mix made me expect a very high quality session, but that was not what I got. The problems are that (1) the main characters are not as interesting and as solid, as one could expect, from a two hours effort by great actors and actresses; and (2) the plot runs on turtle speed. Too slow for me.
My rating: 5.5/10
